Creating a Course

Creating a Course

Starting Course Creation - Finally!

It seems like up until this point, all I've done is get ready to get ready, so to speak. Setting up all the technical stuff, writing the requisite welcome sequence, and basically just making sure all my ducks are in a row.

That said, creating a course, even one you intend to sell for a low price, is no mean feat. There are slides to create, videos to record, transcripts to edit, and of course setting it all up in Systeme. So I still have a long way to go. But it feels good because it feels like I'm finally getting to the meat & taters of the business.

Design Work, Etc.

I have to keep up with the design work, too. You wouldn't think that creating a planner with only 5 unique pages (and a cover/filing system) would be that difficult, but some themes are easier than others. I think I went through at least a half-dozen potential designs for the background of the Blue Winter Incoming page alone!

Of course, I also did several other things, including setting up a repository of sales pages for things I've bought over the last year or three. Since my ideal customer is basically me from a few years ago, I wanted to study those pages and see what it was about them that made ME buy. Hopefully it'll help me craft more effective sales pages when the time comes to do that!
