Setting up Amazon Affiliate Tags, And More Content

Another Day, Another Dollar

I admit, I am an Amazon Associate (their term for an affiliate marketer) from wayyyyy back. Like 2005 or so. Not only do I read a lot of books and love to get paid for sharing those recommendations, but Amazon now sells absolutely everything, including the kitchen sink! So being able to set up affiliate links when I talk about almost any product is fabulous.

Since I've been doing this so long, though, the process of setting up tags for this blog and EED was incredibly fast - just add the domains to the list of ones from which I will be sending traffic to Amazon, and set up tags for them. So showing my work probably wouldn't be very helpful. And I've had my Michelle Liggitt and Paperies domains for a while now, so I already had tags for those.

I Shall Not Leave You Unsupported!

However, for folks following along at home, here's a link to a video that will step you through the process from the beginning. Like, the very beginning. It even assumes you have no Amazon account at all. So if you've already got one of those, you can sign into it and skip to 1:22 in the video.

Other than that I spent my time today putting some polish on the content I've already put out, and catching this blog up. Because while I'm blogging on the daily here, I actually capture all my steps in a Word doc on the day of, and then bring it into these posts the next day. I find this helps me plan my time better, since that way I know how much I need to polish up and post on any given day, whereas going into the day I'm often clueless how long various tech tasks will actually take.
